Well it has been a while since I have written anything and I apologize for that. There are so many things that I would like to talk about. First off we are going to discuss keeping animals out of the garden. So how do you actually do it? Many animals can be destructive to you yard or garden and you don’t want them there. While I love animals, I don’t want them destroying my garden or yard. That being said I looked for some humane ways to get rid of the animals. I don’t want to hurt them, I just don’t want them thinking my garden is their personal smorgasbord. After all that smorgasbord is for me and my family. I did a lot of research but instead of rehashing what everyone else said I found this great site. It appears to be a newer site but they really have some great information so far. I hope they keep on building it out. The site is called Keep Animals Out of the Garden. So far they have great tips on keeping deer, squirrels, rabbits, and cats out of the garden. They also have a couple of good reviews on the site of some effective methods of accomplishing that goal. I also like to format of it. So if you can I would suggest to share the site around. Just like I am here. I actually like the story on the main page, about how, he got rid of a cat that was marking his basil. I actually got a chuckle out of it. I hope you do as well. The site talks about all kinds of methods including: fences, scent repellants, plants to help keep them out, motion sensor lights, motion sensor sprinklers, motions sensor ultrasonic deterrents, and even other animals. I really like it because never is there the idea that an animal should just be hurt or killed. I know it can be frustrating to have an animal destroy what you try to grow. That does not give you the right to hurt the animal though. Really think about that. Keep all animals safe and your garden, or yard in good shape. After all most of the animals, especially wild ones, are just doing what they do. You are actually in their space. So if you can make it more difficult or uncomfortable for them to be in your claimed space then do that. They will probably stay nearby but leave your stuff alone. Thanks for listening to my ramble. Catch you in the fields!
